At Sci-Phy @ Johns Hopkins University, we study the science of physical agents: intelligent systems that perceive, reason, and act in the physical world. Led by Krishna Murthy Jatavallabhula, we seek to uncover the general principles that enable robots to move, manipulate, and interact seamlessly with objects, people, and other physical agents.

Our work spans the full robotics stack, including, but not limited to perception, reasoning, control, hardware and sensor design, etc. Towards our goals, we leverage (and contribute to) advances in robot learning, sensorimotor control, and ideas from human intelligence and physical reasoning.

We are affiliated with the JHU Data Science and AI Institute (DSAI) and collaborate with a number of other colleagues in adjacent areas.
